Domain Name System also known as DNS has gained so much importance in the present time that I believe that most of the works are absolutely incomplete without it. The force of internet in the present time is only because of the existence of DNS. It was years before, those users who used to try reaching another host on the network were necessitate to put long IP number strings. With the growth of Internet, these number strings became unworkable and cumbersome as most of the users could not time after time keep in mind the proper sequences of these random numbers.

To reduce to bare bones in this process, a solution was made depending upon the data solution that transmit each IP address to a reasonably easy-to-remember common language address that was straightforward to keep in mind and offered simplicity of use. Later, a flat file had evolved the DNS which is used today as an open, distributed and develops as enterprises, users, Internet Service Providers and domains appear on the network. Ease of use and expandability was the objective but, since cyber protection attacks and malware were nearly unheard of, DNS security was not a main concern.

DNS is highly efficient and works in the backdrop of search activity. With this facility, they are quite sure that whenever they will type a particular email address or URL, they will be linked to the correct email box or website mentioned in the browser. Many companies developed brand policies depending up on the functionality to make use of the internet’s accessibility to develop more customers and give a boost to the sales/revenues. Most of the companies have implemented a.com or.net extension. The federal government adopts a.gov or.mil extensions.

The DNS services have opened the branding world to the Internet. Some of the common names became humdrum brands like Google, Amazon, Bing and e-Bay. Powerful strategies have been developed to advertise brands over the internet. Moreover, a new marketing strategy has been developed known as Search Engine Marketing (SEM) whereby keyword searching and its positioning on the search engine has been developed as a major industry type. Premier placing on the first page of a search engine gave the recipient a benefit for more business as compared to the competition.

The original design of the DNS did not comprise of robust security features as it was designed to be a scalable distributed system and attempts to put in security. As a result, cyber attacks created internet chaos. With the expansion of Internet in terms of traffic, users and devices, this also increased the opportunity for sophisticated DNS pandemonium. Whether aggravating (spam), malicious (hacking) or illegal like accessing sites including content that infringes legal and regulatory consents or shocking denial of service (DoS) attacks.

If you are really interested in the DNS services and want to hire someone who can clearly tell you the applications and benefits of these services in your industry type, you can hire a reputable company with years of experience in this respect.
