new things

Travelling is now affordable with cheap return tickets and availability of budget accommodations. Aside from seeing new countries, people have their own reasons to travel. While some have their goals of seeing as many places as they can, some travellers consider it as an accomplishment to try new things and tick things off their bucket lists one by one. But why do people keep on doing it despite the budget and time requirements?

Travelling is challenging

Maybe you're one of those who feel like they're stuck in the humdrum of life and you yearn for something new that will get your blood flowing. Going to new places gives you the opportunity to try new experiences you otherwise wouldn't get to try if you don't go. You see, this is your chance to challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone. Whether it's to bungee jump in New Zealand or try to eat exotic insects in Cambodia.

If you're the adventurous type, you can even try travelling solo. There's nothing more satisfying than surviving getting around a country and busy cities with no one else to depend on but yourself.

You get to learn new things

Seasoned travellers get addicted to travelling because they learn new things in every place they go to. There's something in overcoming the unfamiliar and going home with a new set of skills. It's nothing like learning things within the confines of a classroom. With travelling you're exposed to geography, history, and even linguistics as every place has unique and exciting things to offer and as a visitor, always grab the opportunity to learn and absorb them.

Wherever you stay, whether it's www.heythroppark.co.uk in Oxford or a hostel in Thailand, you get the chance to learn a new language and culture, enjoy new cuisines and have a deeper understanding and appreciation of different religions and spiritual belief.

Gain a new perspective

Going to new countries and meeting people from different walks of life gives you a better understanding of how the world works and how different it is from what you're used to.

Travel blogs let you see the world from another person's point of view, but it's different and more exhilarating if you see it for yourself. It will help you realise the difference between the world you grew up in with the big world out there. Fresh ideas will form and you'll feel more inspired after your trip.

Booking that next flight to somewhere and seeing new places also gives you time to reflect on things. Travelling gives you the chance to reconnect with yourself. Life is a balance between work and play, and travelling is the perfect time for your much needed break from a stressful work schedule and life in general.

Travelling has its own challenges. Whether it's transitioning from one country to another, booking a hotel or figuring out the train lines, there is always a sense of accomplishment when you overcome these challenges and get to where you need to go.
