Bab-e-Baqi is, in fact, the door of the cemetery where the near and dear of Prophet? are resting. It was connected in 1408 AH and is accurately contrary to Bab-e-Salam which is on the western side. The door lets them people leaving the masjid after giving greeting (salaam) to the Prophet (?) and his two Sahaba. It is important to note that the door did not exist in the time of the Prophet (?). If you get a chance to perform Umrah through umrah 2020 December, so you should know that it is closest to the Rawdah Mubarak (the Sacred Chamber). Rawdah is actually the blessed place in Masjid e Nabvi? where the Prophet? passed his last days.

And after the death of Prophet?, he? was also buried at Rawdah. The Prophet? said regarding visiting Roza e Rasool?, "The person who visits me after my death, has similarly visited during my life in the material world. [Tabraani]. And whoever proceeds Hajj in Makkah and makes sure the ziarat of Masjid Nabvi?, so for him there is the reward of two accepted Hajj. [Daylami]. And when someone reads Durood e Pak (blessings) on me near my Roza (grave), so in the meantime I hear and whoever calls for blessings on me in any place on the ground his/her every need will be rewarded not only in this world but hereafter, and the day of Judgement I shall be his/her witness as well as intercessor. [Bayhaqi].

Bab-e-Baqi is the blessing door where people after performing the Umrah, visit the graves of the following figures:

  • Halima the Milk-Mother of Muhammad (SAW)• All of the wives of Muhammad (SAW) except Hazrat Khadija (RA)• Ibrahim the son of Muhammad (SAW)• Ruqayah, Umm-e-Kalsoom, and Zainab the daughters of Holy Prophet (SAW)• Aqeel Ibne Abi Talib• Abu Sa’id al-Khudri• Malik Ibn Anas the Islamic Jurist • Nafi Al-Madni one of Ten Readers of Holy Quran• Abdulmecid II the Last Sultan of Ottoman.

There are several other Islamic figures who are buried in Baqi but there is controversy regarding their authenticity. Yet the exact location can be visited through hajj travel agents London who have well-knowledge about each grave.

However, you must avoid shirk while visiting the graves as they have already destroyed in the form of tombs by the Saudi government. Because their major purpose was that people should not commit shirk. No doubt shirk is an unpardoned sin. As the Holy Quran says: (Interpretation)

"Say!"Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "(Allah) is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible." (Surah Ar-Rad, 16)

Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide. (Surah Ar-Rad, 33)
