Requirements for Hajj Visa

Though visa for any country of the world needs some particulars information, yet visa for Hajj needs each bit information which is not tolerated as people are being entered in the holy sanctuary of Makkah which is very sensitive zone. However, before applying for Hajj visa people must know some requirements.
- The applicant must have a valid passport which is acceptable both for entry to Saudi Arabia and entry to the next destination. Moreover, it should contain at least two empty visa pages adjacent to each other.
- The applicant should attach a recent passport size color photograph with a white background. The picture must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera straight. Yet, some travel agents require two color photos, one for the visa application and the other for the group identification card.
- The applicant should fill the application form with a black ink pen or printed. Before submitting, the form must be signed and stamped by the
- The pilgrim should write on the application forms complete information for all the people such as spouse and children or any relative with whom he is traveling. Applicant should also attach copies of marriage or birth certificates.
- It is required for women to travel for Hajj with a Mahram according to Sharia. Yet, evidence of relationship is required to submit with the application form.
- Woman over the age of 45 is allowed to travel without a Mahram but with an organized group. And for that purpose, she must submit a letter of no objection from her Mahram authorizing her to travel for Hajj with the named group. The letter must be authenticated.
- The candidate must be acknowledged a non-refundable roundtrip ticket with confirmed reservations.
- The applicant should provide the report of vaccination for meningitis and ACYW135. A vaccination report is required for polio as well as meningitis for infants and children up to 15 years of age. However, children over 15 years of age should present the same vaccinations requested for adults. The record of vaccination should not increase more than three years and not less than 10 days prior to entering Saudi Arabia.
- Each applicant has to submit two stamped checks or official checks allocated to 'Unified Agents Office' in Jeddah for pilgrimage services such as guides, Zamzam water agents, tent accommodation in Mina and Arafat and transportation costs. The checks should include the name and the passport number of the pilgrim and date and place of issue. Each applicant should pay the applicable fees. However, pilgrims have the option to submit one check on both fees. For children between the ages of seven and fifteen, half of the amount is payable. Yet, children under the age of seven are not required to pay any cost.
- Applicants who do not have nationality from they are applying should submit recognized proof of legal residence eminence. An applicant who has converted to Islam, so he/she must be submitted an Islamic certificate notarized by an Islamic Center. Passport authorities of Saudi Arabia have reserved the right to return any pilgrims who have provided wrong or false information about their residence.
