You may, however, apply for a different permit once you leave Cyprus or upon the expiry of your existing visa. Also, you are permitted tourist activities on a business, work, student or a visitor visa, but, you are not allowed business, paid employment or education on a tourist visa. You can still participate in volunteer work on a tourist permit.
