Since it's difficult to offer full and updated information on each Russian Consulate worldwide, below we list some recommendations which will assist you to urge a visa with minimal effort.

Our recommendations are often useful also to those that would really like to urge their visas with the assistance of workplace or courier service. Just in case of an appeal to the Russian Visa Application Centre, the recommendations are equivalent.

We recommend the subsequent procedure:

1. Contact the Consulate to:

-choose the urgent or ordinary visa processing procedure and determine the quantity of Consular fee

-choose the way to submit the documents to the Consulate: are available person, send by email or with the assistance of a courier

-find out what documents to organize

-find out the thanks to paying Consular fee (cash, cheque, etc.)

  1. Prepare all the documents and fill within the Consular Questionnaire.
  2. Submit the documents to the Consulate and pay the Consular fee (try to form a meeting first, if this chance is available).
  3. Get a visa at the Consulate.
  4. Check a visa to make sure that the knowledge is correct.

Visa Centre is officially authorized to simply accept, process and transmit to the Russian Consulate the visa applications submitted by individuals and legal entities, including travel agencies.

In exceptional cases, citizens may apply to the Consulate (after making a meeting by phone or via the website).

Officers of the Visa Centers advise the applicants on filling within the Consular Questionnaire, required package of documents, visa the time interval, and procedure, etc.

Consular and repair fees also are charged at the Visa Centre.

Russian Visa Application Centers are opened and successfully operate in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, the USA, Turkey, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, and Estonia.

Give the subsequent information to the Consular officer:

-Your citizenship and place of residence

-Type of the specified visa and sort of Visa Invitation you've got (or will have)

-The deadline by which you would like to urge your documents and visa from the Consulate

Ask the Consular officer:

-How you'll receive your visa from the Consulate – what are a visa time interval and therefore the Consular fee (Consular fee is larger for urgent procedures)

-What documents you would like to undergo the Consulate. Besides the always required documents (Consular Questionnaire, passport and a couple of photos), Consulates may have additional requirements (medical insurance, HIV certificate, etc.)

-What documents are often submitted in copies (Visa Invitation, medical insurance, etc.), and what documents must be originals

-If it's obligatory to return to the Consulate face to face otherwise, you can complete the procedure by post or with the assistance of a courier service

-What are the working hours of the Consulate: when the Consulate accepts and issues documents (if you'll submit the documents face to face or through the courier) and what's the quality thanks to sending documents by post (postal address, postage class, self-addressed stamped envelope, etc.)

-How to pay Consular fee (cash, cheque, etc.)
