In today’s lifestyle retirement villages are becoming very popular. This is a western concept but now days it is pervaded all over the world. There are lots of persons who have opt it but some are still thinking of whether to leave their family and go to retirement village or not. Let us explain what it actually means. So many couples and people have already decided to spent rest of their life in a certain way post retirement. As some of them want a frugal way of living, on the other hand some people want to be part of retirement villages or community. The whole idea behind this is to spend the retirement days according to one's wishes.
Retirement Living Types
There are many people who have chosen retirement living as a choice not what they feel. many retirees have expressed that they have finally did what they want in their lives and now they are cherishing these non working days of their life by creating sweet memories. Some of the retirees have opinion that a good retirement living must be of reasonable budget. Now you can enjoy your living without any setbacks. There are various retirement livings that people prefer some of them are:
- You can live on a sailboat in abroad
- Relocate from your home town for a change
- Living overseas
- Shifting from a small space living
- Living in an recreational vehicle (RV)
- Go for a retirement living village
Retirement Village
Making a decision of moving from your home to a retirement village is one of the hardest. After years of hard work its time to take some rest and make rest of your life the best of your entire life. So choose the retirement village very carefully, check all the amenities and facilities provided by them. Many retirement villages offer facilities like fishing, arts and craft, stroll along beach, swimming in ocean or pool, small meeting with friends, arrange a game of cards, going down to shops or for a day trip.
Forms of Retirement Villages
Generally you will find two types of retirement villages. They are:
1. Donor funded villages - As the name suggests the donor funded retirement villages are operated either by NGO’s or Government bodies.
2. Resident funded villages – Despite of the donor funded retirement villages; resident funded villages may or may not be funded by NGO or private sector body. These villages generate a surplus amount so they are operated for commercial purposes.
So before choosing any retirement village first analyse all these points, and then finalise the one!
