To clarify on the previous sentence out of my previous remark

Some users understand the way to intentionally bypass filters, which makes them useless, and if we create a filter too broad, more posts are filtered than justified. This generates more frustration for consumers and more work for us while we'd prefer to OSRS Items avoid over-moderating. We may look into attempting to revive a filter for phishing email inquiries, but that's something for us to discuss privately one of the mod group. The previous filter was unable to achieve what was wanted at the time, so it was disabled for the time being. These posts do discuss an obsession with other filters within our subreddit, so some of them are eliminated for different reasons.

To clarify on the previous sentence out of my previous remark, overall, this subreddit is for Runescape's community, and as subreddit mods, we'd rather our existence be minimal. While some other subreddits may have a highly visible mod existence, that is not something we are interested in. In shortwe believe the subreddit should be the community's voice, not the community's voice led by subreddit mods.

I don't think anyone in any capability expects a plug and play solution nor expects anybody in the mod team to break their spine for no pay. Filters require upkeep to correctly function, take spam filters for email; that has decades of effort to make sure the Nigerian prince doesn't make it into your own inbox and hell sometimes it still doesn't work, sometimes my 2FA winds up in spam, but we don't delete a spam filter. I only wish to clarify that I am not talking you in some presser or some thing simply having a dialog.

I believe this just strengthens not only the debate for having an Automod notify prospective new posters of this'gentleman's agreement', or even formally separating them. You've got a virtual'desire path' going on here where your neighborhood has made a decision to segregate the content, do not you think you need to hear them? These are all growing pains and nothing else which can't be sorted out with time, its one thing to say that nobody gets the drive or ability to maintain a filter right now but please don't make it outside to be an impossible effort. In addition, I feel like I'm in a soviet court house and the bailiff was told to take the man who jaywalked, bro you do not need to delete OSRS or spilled articles in this case simply have automod remark on it with info pointing folks in the ideal direction.

Unless we are talking about a filter limiting what could be stated on the subreddit I'm really confused on why anybody would want to skip a filter which supplies them with advice. Now if allegedlyy'all tried to knock down some essential questions or phrases being chucked about that sub from time to time then yeah it is a'difficulty' (You men wouldn't be the first game sub to have it, blink twice if Jagex hasy'all hostage) for you guys but I do not see a lot of people hoping to submit"connection - entirely no ph15h guiys" or"I think this is a de h 1 5 h ing attempt guys" or"look at this cool shed I received on oh ess are ess" just so they don't have a comment on their article out of a bot.

I'm just trying to be thorough in my answers. The email entry filter was seen as a very low priority mend, and such articles were (and are) becoming caught in different filters, therefore it was deemed unneeded for the time being. However, the other filters aren't specially designed for those articles, so just part are getting flagged. Once more of the vital tasks are completed, we will take a look at some of the lower priority ones. It would not take much time to get a setup set up to start testing a better version. Also, a vast majority of subreddit moderation is not visible openly, so although it might seem that we're not doing anything occasionally, there's a great deal that goes on behind the scenes in addition to approving/removing articles and comments.

Our concern about filtering in this case isn't whether a person will try to bypass this, and that comment was to further the stage that filters are not always powerful. Perhaps mentioning the deliberate bypassing was a little off subject for my previous comment. As mentioned before, the quantity of OSRS-specific posts (not pertinent to RS3) submitted here is minimal as is, and they don't amount to a notable portion of our daily posts. However, those articles are redeemed by Buy RS3 Gold others which compare or link to both games.
