A conversation about destinations to visit with great weather and location is never complete without mentioning Australia. Sydney, being one of the largest and most populous cities in the country, is known for its warm weather in summer. Tens of thousands of people from across the globe flock to Sydney to enjoy the summer and celebrate the highly anticipated Christmas and New Year. You can feel a pleasant breeze flowing through the city, due to its location next to the sea, which will negate the hotness of the weather, another reason why it is peak season in Sydney.

The harbour is an inevitable location in this list as it is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike, especially in the summer. One of the sought-after activities in this splendid waterways, among others, is the dinner cruise Sydney Harbour, which takes waterfront dining to the next level. Cruise on some of the top vessels including the paddlewheeler, multi-million dollar catamaran and a premium glass boat and watch some of the top landmarks in Australia such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge up close. Top off your day with some freshly cooked dishes and pair it with drinks and beverages from the fully licensed bar onboard, a great ending to an eventful evening.

Swimming is never a bad idea in Sydney, especially during summer when the weather is warm. Go for a swim at Bondi Iceberg Pool, one of the most photographed ocean pools in Australia and a local landmark, at the Southern end of Bondi Beach. This pool is famous for its sunrise bath in the icy water, overlooking the vast sea with a view of the sun gleaming over the waters. What better way to start your day off than at one of the most beautiful and famous ocean pools in the world and you can even sit alongside the sea view and dine to even further elevate the experience.

During the months, Sydney sees clear blue skies paired with pleasant and warm weather, making you see the best of the city. This is the ideal time when one should get to the summit of the Sydney Tower Eye and get the most of the city’s stunning beauty. The observation deck soaring 820 feet above the ground gives a 360° view of the whole of the city, a sight to not miss! From here you can identify most of the city including the Opera House, Harbour and even the far away Blue Mountains.

There are numerous other ways to get the most out of the summer in Sydney like visiting the flower market, spending New Year’s Eve at the harbour or even taking a walk along the Harbour Bridge.
