If you have watched the latest Spider-Man movie and are in the mood to be the hero you want, or you are just looking for the best marvel games to pass some time. We have a list for you to choose from. This list includes games from different platforms and different genres, so you are not limited to a single type of game. Let’s start the list in descending order and talk about the last one in the list first.

10. X-Men 2: Clone Wars

Platform: Sega Genesis

Year: 1995

The biggest superheroes in the ’90s were X-men. Everyone wanted to be one of the mutants from the series. HeadGame developed this nice side-scrolling game which scratched the itch for some of the fans. Players can control Wolverine, Cyclops, Beast, Gambit, Nightcrawler, and Psylocke as they destroy the Phalanx virus around the world.

9. MARVEL Strike Force

Platform: Android, iOS

Year: 2018

You are an agent of the Special Tactical Reserve for Interdimensional Key Events. S.T.R.I.K.E. You are tasked with the mission of building a team of superheroes to fight an alien threat and protect the planet. This is not a game you will love for the plot. This turn-based game will addict you to the slow unlocking of some of our favorite superheroes and villains from the epic series.

8. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Platform: Wii, PC, PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360

Year: 2009

So can we talk about a game that pulled out the rare neat trick? It’s better than its movie counterpart. Raven Software made this game so good and let the players explore the past of wolverine while slicing down an extreme amount of enemies. Watching the healing factor after a brutal fight will never get boring. Wolverine is one of the Marvel universe’s most famous and beloved characters, and fans didn’t get disappointed by this amazing game.

7. X-Men

Platform: Arcade, PS3, Xbox 360

Year: 1992

In the ‘90s, arcades were ruled by Konami’s side-scrolling beat-em-up games. It seemed that there was a necessity for the arcades to require a copy of this game to exist. Some of the powers were misrepresented, like nightcrawler zooming around the screen like Barry Allen (Flash). But we are not complaining, as we will always be excited about beating some sentinels and getting into brutal combat with Magneto.

6. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

Platform: PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, Vita, PC

Year: 2013

Lego games are considered comfort food of games like potato chips. You play them when you are not in the mood of gaming at very high intensity and just want to relax. Smash objects and enemies into tiny Lego bricks. The Lego game was released just when the Avengers movies were massive. The roster of the characters was great in the game with unique powers, and the gameplay was satisfying.

5. Spider-Man 2

Platform: GameCube, PS2, Xbox

Year: 2004

Spider-Man 2 was considered the best Marvel licensed game ever made until the latest one took the spot. But still, some fans consider the older one to be the best ever made. The swing mechanics were ahead of their time and paved the way for future games to improve the gameplay mechanics. You play as Spider-Man, trying to balance his normal and superhero life while fighting foes like Black Cat, Dr. Octopus, and Rhino.

4. The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction

Platform: GameCube, PS2, Xbox

Year: 2005

Few games in the lineup make you feel like a rage machine destroying everything in your way. Radical Games made Ultimate Destruction so that fans get to feel like they are the only thing that matters and just destroys everything foolish enough to come in your way. Running the straight walls and using cars as knuckles was fun and exciting. The world will never leave hulk alone, and we, too, don’t want to leave this amazing combat.

3. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP

Year: 2006

Do you guys remember the last combat scene of the Avengers: Endgame? That’s the same feeling fans got when they first played Raven Software’s epic brawl fest. Up to four players can play together to take on the forces trying to destroy your helicarrier, saving mind-controlled inhabitants of Atlantis or playing absurd game shows in Murderworld. The latest game in the franchise has a lot to live up to.

2. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Vita

Year: 2011

The Marvel vs. Capcom series is considered one of the best fighting games ever made. This is the only game where you can team up with Captain Commando or Mega Man as Captain America to go toe-to-toe with Iron Man. This game gives you one of the biggest roasters of superheroes, aliens, villains, hot succubus ladies, etc., to pick from as your character. You don’t need any story mode when your combat is so good, and this game taught us that.

1. Marvel’s Spider-Man

Year: 2018

I hope you didn’t expect any other game to be on the top of this list. This is the masterpiece of a game created by Insomniac, who took everything good from the previous games and combined them to create something that all the fans were looking forward to. The graphics, the smooth combat, the swing mechanics, the story, everything you expect from a perfect game, it’s there. It will be very hard to topple this game from the crown of the best Marvel game ever created, but we have hopes for the next game from the same studio, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

These were some of the best games created related to one of the best superhero universes ever created, MARVEL. We are ready for the next generation of games releasing later next year, and you should too.
