The Land Down Under is often looked down on by many but being a traveller for the past eleven years I have almost entirely explored what the country is all about. And trust me when I tell you this, it is hands down the best country I’ve been to and I’ve been to over 32 countries to date. Not only is it brimming with extraordinary natural wonders including national parks, beaches and rainforests, but it's one of the most developed nations on the planet. " Perfectly balanced, as all things should be ''. Now, if you're planning to venture into this vast nation, here is a glance of how you can enjoy and make the most of its attractions.

The ultimate starting point

Being on the forefront of Australian tourism, Sydney is one of the major cities on the planet itself. You absolutely need to start your Australian exploration from this city. A lunch cruise on the famous harbour will easily give you the best views of Sydney, including that of the well-known Opera House and Harbour Bridge, along with other attractions. It’s arguably the best way to soak up the true beauty of the city, and with a sumptuous food and beverage menu you’ll get a glimpse into the Australian culinary scenes as well. The views are nothing short of breathtaking so be ready to get some unique angles of the icons and set your socials on fire! Even a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour for that matter is a brilliant way to appreciate the gorgeous harbour city but this time, under the ethereal night skies!

Must listen to the wave calling

Beaches and Surfing. If there’s any two essentials for the Australian way of living, it’s these two. To put it mildly, the shoreline is enormous. And you can easily catch a wave regardless of which state you are in. There are more than 12,000 beaches, but if you're starting your itinerary in Sydney, check out the iconic Bondi Beach. The waves here are decent and even if you're not up for something physical, you can always enjoy the culture and food that is pretty touristy in these parts. Gold Coast in Queensland is known to be the go-to surfing destination for many, and you can experience world-class waves that are ideal for both beginners and pros.

Get behind the wheels

Who doesn't love road trips? If you're visiting the country with your entire family, the best way to soak up some of its splendid natural landscapes in one go is to gear up for a road trip. Vans, high-octane jeeps or even a rental car would do the trick. The Great Ocean Road, starting in Torquay and ending in Allansford, Victoria, is the ultimate road trip in Australia. The legendary 12 Apostles stand tall along the coast of this road trip and not just that - Mariner’s Lookout, Lower Kalimna Falls, The redwoods, Hopetoun Falls, all lie across this beautiful road region.

Wave to a shark or a ray

Last but not the least, we have the reef, not just any reef, but the biggest and most diverse one on the panet. If you’re one with nature and waters, or into water activities like snorkelling or scuba, then there’s no better place than the Great Barrier Reef. Even if you're not a fan of the ocean you can explore the reef by a boat or enjoy an aerial view of it on a chopper. But I would suggest guided diving any day. It is the only way to fully explore the reef, its unique marine life and the extraordinary ecosystem. If it’s the right season you might even come across a whale shark or a manta!
