Who can Apply for UK Dependent Visa?

The need for companionship is something that is a necessity for life. People need the emotional, physical and moral support of families or partners so that life may feel fulfilled and satisfying. Without a companion, one may feel unhappy and depressed. This need for a companion is multiplied, when a person is in a foreign country and does not have any relatives or friends in the same country. This implies that anyone who moves to a new country such as UK, would require a dependent visa for his or her relatives, if they need to move to UK. This is a visa that allows the spouse, partner, children or dependents to live in UK with a primary visa holder, someone who already has a visa for UK. There are a different set of formalities and documentation, that are required in order to get a dependent visa for the UK. A person who is a primary visa holder and has a UK tier 2 visa from India, may be able to sponsor dependents depending on the eligibility of the dependents.

In a lot of instances, people are transferred by companies, to work in UK, these people are generally transferred on UK tier 2 intra company transfer visa. Such visa holders, may be able to invite people as dependents who may travel on UK tier 2 dependent visa. The dependents are allowed to apply for a dependent visa, on the basis of a point system, that is established by the UK immigration law. On the basis of the point system, anyone who is applying on a UK tier 1 dependent visa, may be able to get the visa on priority as compared to a dependent of someone of who has a UK tier 2 work permit from India. The points are based on the main visa holders visa status. A person applying for a dependents may be a wife or a husband, a partner proven by law, children of a minor age, residing in UK or even children of a minor age, who do not reside in UK. The people applying for a dependent visa are required to go through a separate process of application and formalities which involve paper work as well as the filing of biometric information. Once these processes are complete, a person may be able to have a visa granted and may be able to travel to UK as a dependent.

The rules and regulations for people applying from India and from UK are different. The best way to go about the formalities of visa, is to contact a consultant who is an expert at the procedures. The legal framework and regulations are such that, if a person does not have the right expertise or the knowledge for visa application for the UK from India, he or she may get extremely hassled and troubled in completing the processes, the safest way is to take help from experienced personnel and simplify the process.
