Binsar is a popular hill town of Uttarakhand. The place can be a perfect romantic getaway for any couple. The town is surrounded with lush green and the clouds all around the place during monsoon is another charm of the place. Here is a brief description of the place.

Binsar, situated in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, is a very beautiful place. It is located at an average altitude of 2,480 metres. The Jhandi Dhar Hills on which this small town is located is full of rich flora and fauna. It is tranquil place amidst the deep green hills. It was the summer capital of the Chand Kings of Kumaon. The major attractions of the place are the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and the panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks. Binsar is surrounded by greenery and it is one of the popular hill station of Uttarakhand. People from all over the country visit the place to enjoy the wonderful scenery and spend some time amidst the lush greenery. It is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. It is the house of many animals which includes Boars, Himalayan Bear, Porcupine, Panthers, Leopards, Deer, Foxes etc. You have to pay an entry fee of Rs. 40 per person and Rs. 50 for a car. Kasar Devi Temple which was made in the early 70s is a quite place and once the house of a Dutch Monk, now it is a very popular spot among the foreigner. The famous Khali Estate was the resident of Sir Henry Ramsay, one of the well-known commissioner of Kumaon. The view of Himalayan range from this place will surprise you. Bineshwar Mahadev Temple is a widely visited place and its architectural style is very attractive. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the holy places of the region. Apart from these, trekking is a popular activity which you can enjoy here.
