Visa Application form: fully completed in English or German language and signed by the applicant.

Passport:

(a) its validity shall extend at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States or, in the case of several visits, after the last intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States.

(b) it shall contain at least two blank pages.

(c) it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years.

(d) NO alteration or handwritten amendment concerning the data page.

Copy of the present passport (data pages, pages with evidence of previous visa, travel).

Original(s) of previous passport(s) or proof of loss.

Photographs : One colour photograph 3.5 x 4.5 cm with white background, clear image of the applicant directly facing the camera, without dark/ tinted glasses or any headgear (with the exception of persons who wear such headgear due to their ethnic/ religious background, and are seen wearing the same in their passport photo).

Travel medical insurance shall be valid throughout the territory of the Member States and cover the entireperiod of the person’s intended stay or transit. The minimum coverage shall be EUR 30 000. Applicants for auniform visa for multiple entries shall prove that they are in possession of adequate and valid travel medicalinsurance covering the period of their first intended visit. In addition a statement, declaring the awareness ofthe need to be in possession of travel medical insurance for subsequent stays, shall be signed.

Covering Letter (Original): Addressing to the Consular Officer, applicant details, purpose of visit, duration of visit and assurance for return with in visa validity.

Ticket Itinerary (Both way flight tickets): Copy of return flight tickets with applicant name. If applying in group, please highlight applicant name.

Proof of Accommodation: Copy of hotel booking with applicant name or a letter from the host with host's ID/passport copy.

Evidence of occupation / student status / proof of self-employment e.g. recent letter of employment / school / university / letter of chamber of commerce.

Employment Letter (Original): from the company in India with clear company details, applicant details, from how long he/she is working, period of leave approved with Manager/HR seal & signature. and assurance applicant will back to work immediately after this trip.

Self-employed: A letter from lawyer / chartered accountant / / Confirmation of Chamber of Commerce concerning evidence of established business, certificate of registration of company.

Student: NOC from school / college.

Proof of Sufficient Funds: Latest applicant's original bank statement with sign and seal of the bank on every page or a sponsorship letter from the financial sponsor with sponsor's bank statement and ID/passport copy.

ITR : Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V from the last three (3) years.

Important Notes:

1. Embassy may ask for more documents (if required).
2. For Minor: If Children traveling with one parent then NOC from another parent with passport copies of the Parents and both parents signature and child sign/thump as per passport required (with contact no. of applicant).
3. If applicant intends to stay longer than 6 (six) months, Residence Permit ("Aufenthaltstitel") has to be applied for. Visa "C" can be applied for with validity for up to 90 days, Visa "D" between 91 and 180 days. Visa in both categories cannot be extended or renewed in Austria.
4. Any representative shall provide an original letter of authorization from the applicant bearing the name of the representative and its organization / company. A copy of a valid photo ID shall be attached to the application.
5. The applicant bears responsibility concerning all content of the application.
6. Applications cannot be submitted more than 3 months prior to departure.
