Washing your beard is just as simple as washing your head with just a slight difference, it’s the hair on your face. The main issues and nuances in washing your beard are as follows:

Frequency. Even if you take a shower every day, and also wash your hair while at it - do not do this with a beard. During the day, the skin covers itself with moisturizing oils and a unique secretion. If you scrupulously deprive yourself of this lubricant, washing it out with special tools or just a jet of water - then besides natural moisturizing, you are depriving yourself of protection. The barrier, which is formed by secretion, does not allow germs, dust and other unfriendly elements to penetrate deep into the body. Skin covers on the face are more tender and sensitive, so you need to be very careful with them, without overdrying or choking with chemistry. Optimal is the washing of the beard with care products 1 time in 3 days. If the dirt is obvious, just rinse your beard with water.

What to wash with. Here everything is very individual. You need to come from your specific type of hair. For one soap is suitable, and the other is good with shampoo for children. What can be said with certainty, shampoo for a beard should be as natural as possible. Do not be fooled by beautiful words and advertising promises, it's all a marketing move and nothing more. You don’t need any harmful artificial elements in your shampoo.

Care after washing. After washing your beard, get a couple of drops of oil to care for your beard and apply to a slightly damp beard along the entire length. This will make it more docile, moisturizing and nourishing it. If the oil is not at hand, use the hair conditioner. You don’t need to know everything about conditioner, we strongly recommend to get a minimal knowledge and supply of special means for caring for a beard.

How to dry. The most optimal is to gently pat dry with a well-absorbent towel. Movements should be smooth in the direction of top to bottom, but not chaotic and disheveling. Doing the last with a beard, you break, exfoliate and damage the hairs. As a result, they naughtily stick in different directions. If the time is short, or the apartment is cold - you can dry it with a hairdryer, but always at a low speed and low temperature.

How to comb. Wet hair is sensitive to combing. Under the weight of moisture, they are more prone to damage. When the beard has completely dried up gently comb it with a special beard comb, it is best if it’s wooden. Do not rush, be careful, calmly unravel the nodules, if any. Do not pull or tear your hair, it will only get worse. Comb with smooth movements from the top to the bottom.

Dear bearded comrades, remember that sometimes it is better to ask for help from qualified masters. This must be done at least in order to trim the tips, shape and direct hair growth in the right direction.
